Rad ima dva osnovna dela. U prvom je dat kratak osvrt na običajna pravila kao jedan od najvažnijih izvora međunarodnog prava. U centralnom, drugom delu, rad se bavi običajima kao delom međunarodnog kosmičkog prava. Tu su obrađena pitanja, kao što su: trenutak nastanka običajnih pravila u međunarodnom kosmičkom pravu (problem „instant“ običaja), uloga običajnih pravila u međunarodnom kosmičkom pravu, dokazi o univerzalnim običajima u međunarodnom kosmičkom pravu, sadržina običaja koji su deo međunarodnog kosmičkog prava, problemi u vezi sa običajima koji su deo međunarodnog kosmičkog prava (uključujući i opasnost zloupotrebe) i perspektive običaja kao izvora međunarodnog kosmičkog prava. Navodeći mnoge argumenate koji to potvrđuju, autor zaključuje da će iz mnogo razloga međunarodni pravni običaji i dalje biti ne samo potrebni i korisni, već će ostati među najvažnijim izvorima kosmičkog prava, s tim što će se uz postojeće javljati i razvijati i novi običaji.
